What are the ingredients in your products?

Why do you call your soap 'Billie Goat' when there is no way you can get milk from a billy goat, being male?
This is a very good question. This is the 'female' spelling of the woman's name 'Billie' – like Billie Jean, Billie Holiday, Billie Piper! We thought it sounded a lot better than 'Nanny Goat Soap'!
Has your goat's milk soaps been tested on animals?
NO, definitely not. No products from Billie Goat Soap are tested on animals – we just use the precious milk from our gorgeous goats for our soap. You could say, straight from the udder to the soap!
My child has severe skin eczema. Can I use the soap on him/her?
If you have any concerns about your child's condition, we strongly recommend you consult your doctor before trying any new organic skin care products. We make no claims regarding the treatment of eczema, however, you can see from our testimonials that there are many people who have skin eczema and find that Billie Goat Soap has helped them. Our plain goat's milk soap body bar is our most popular product for people with sensitive skin, and we recommend patch-testing an area on the body before using it all over.
I have psoriasis. Can I use your products?
Billie Goat Soap is popular with people who have psoriasis, rosacia or sensitive skin. Once again though, if you are unsure we would recommend consulting your doctor before trying anything new. A small patch test on your skin before using the product all over is also recommended.
Do you have a goat's milk shampoo and conditioner?
Yes we do. The Billie Goat Soap is an all natural formula. This means it produces a very low lather. It takes about 4-5 weeks for the shampoo to remove the silicone build up in your hair from commercial shampoos and restore the natural oil balance to your scalp. This is the shampoo/conditioner combination you've been waiting for.
My child has a nut allergy. Can I use your goat's milk soap bars on them?
Our goat's soap bars contain almond oil, therefore we would not recommend using them in that instance. However, our all over body wash does not contain nut based oils and may be more suitable.
Can I wash my face with your goat's milk soap bars?
Yes, you can. Our bars are all hand made with the finest ingredients and they will not leave your skin feeling dry or tight after use. In fact, quite the opposite! You can use Billie Goat Soap all over your body including your face. Many women use the bars to remove their makeup each day.
What stores sell Billie Goat Soap?
There is a wide variety of stores that sell our products, including all good health food stores, pharmacies, Myer, David Jones and Priceline Stores. Please visit our stockists page here to search for your closest store.
What is Colloidal Oatmeal?
Colloidal oatmeal, also known by its Genus Species name, Avena sativa L., helps smooth and comfort itchy, scratchy, and dry skin. Colloidal oatmeal is not a breakfast oatmeal and shouldn't be eaten. To get the benefits from the oats, you add this all-natural product to your bath where its soothing effects take over when you relax in the tub.
But how does Colloidal Oatmeal work?
Colloidal oatmeal is simply oats ground into an extremely fine powder. When added to bathwater, it creates a milky dispersion that prevents the oatmeal from settling rapidly. So the oatmeal stays in the water and doesn't just sink to the bottom of the bath. When you get into the tub, the colloidal oatmeal feels silky, as it coats, moisturizes, softens, and protects your skin.
What conditions are helped by Colloidal Oatmeal?
Colloidal oatmeal works great to help relieve dry, skin patches (Eczema), psoriasis, acne, bug bites, sunburns, and other minor skin irritations. It also helps relieve chicken pox, poison ivy, poison oak, poison sumac, and other itching and scratching rashes. Since colloidal oatmeal has an anti-itch property that helps reduce the “need to itch,” soaking in the bath brings soothing comfort to those infected. When your skin is itchy and irritated, its pH level may be higher. Colloidal Oatmeal helps bring the pH back to normal levels, taming "the need to itch."
How do I use Colloidal Oatmeal?
Run your bath with lukewarm water, and while the tub is filling, add a packet (two to three cups) of colloidal oatmeal under the faucet to help disperse the oatmeal. You may have the urge to take a hot bath, but this will only irritate the skin and remove moisture from your body, so a warm bath is preferable. Soak in the bath for ten to fifteen minutes. When you are ready to get out of the bath, BE CAREFUL. The bathtub will be slick from the oatmeal. When drying, don't rub your skin since this can irritate the sore areas. Instead, pat yourself dry with a clean towel.
How often can I take Colloidal Oatmeal baths?
You can take up to three baths a day, depending on the severity of your condition.
